The selling of Fireworks in the city limits is a relatively new ordinance. The ordinance provides for a $1000 clean up bond which will enable the city to keep if the tent owner walks away after taking down the tent, leaving a mess. We have had one tent in the past that has left a mess for the city to clean up, every year since the ordinance has been in place. We would like to avoid the process to convert the bond to cash, by changing the ordinance language from a bond to a deposit. Each permit holder would instead of providing a bond, would provide a cash deposit that would be refunded after clean up is complete.
